The FSN Uganda Cooperative Society started as a staff association in 1994 till 9th February 2012 when it was registered as a SACCO under the Cooperative Act 1991, Cap 112. In 2016, we transformed into a Cooperative. The SACCO’s overall objective is to provide members and their families with exceptional financial services meeting each stage of life. Financial services offered include but not limited to savings, loans and investments at very competitive rates. Membership mainly consists of locally employed USAID/Uganda and U.S. Embassy staff. It also broadens to include staff of the Cooperative, former staff of USAID/Uganda, U.S. Embassy Uganda who held FSN Uganda SACCO before the end of their service with the aforementioned entities. Associate Members of the cooperative include spouses and dependents of the ordinary members. The Cooperative derives its mandate from the Co-operative Societies Act 1991, Cap 112, and its By-laws. The affairs of the Cooperative are directed by the Board as provided for in the By-laws and overseen by the Supervisory Committee, both reporting to the General Assembly.
