The company started operating in 2016 in the month of October aiming at solving the problem of limited access to the Ugandan films an providing a marketing platform to the filmmakers for their work (Film and Movies) and bridging the gap between the Ugandan film market and the filmmakers. Following the launch, the application has been downloaded by over 9000 people across the world. The film industry in Uganda has been growing year by year with a huge progress in the films produced and the different awards that are organized to improve and encourage the filmmakers through Uganda film festival awards that are organized every year and the other awards, but there still exists a very huge gap between the market and the film industry and this led to the development of Cinema Ug Marketing platform. The system provides a marketing platform for the films not only in Uganda but also in other countries through the various people who interact with the system, enables the users to comments and give reviews on the different films that are uploaded on the application. Adds a value of promoting the actors and actresses where people same birthdays stand a chance to win tickets to various films in different cinemas
