Our first solution, Data for Cattle; is a simple mobile record keeping and farm management app that's empowering farmers with the tools to improve their productivity. Agriculture, Africa's backbone, lacks timely and accurate raw data inhibiting evidence-based planning and decision making at all levels of the value chain. This drastically limits the development of the agriculture industry in Africa because farmers cannot confidently make informed decisions, investors cannot identify and take advantage of the lucrative opportunities to channel their capital, and the government can neither predict nor measure the effects of their policies. All stakeholders are making poor decisions with their budgeted resources. Dbuntu's data-driven dashboards with production indices, regional benchmarks, and predictive models, as well as accurate and reliable statistics for industry growth, ICT penetration statistics, and local trade.
