Hope Against Violence (HAV-Uganda) is a community based, not for profit, non-religious & non-political organization. HAV was started on the basis of addressing direct and indirect outcomes of domestic violence to the vulnerable groups and their third parties. To fight against domestic violence through economic empowerment, access to sexual and reproductive health services and rights and advocacy among vulnerable groups and key populations between the ages of 15-30 years. Our main focus: • To stop domestic violence amongst the youth in Africa. • Developing talents amongst the youth through music, dance and drama. • Guiding and counseling victims of domestic violence. • Developing the youth as job creators but not job seekers in order to fight sexual embarrassment to the youth by employers. • Uniting the youth to fight against domestic violence in order to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. • To prevent women and girls from facing the act of domestic violence and also being infected by HIV/AIDS.
