Free The Needy Foundation was initially a WhatsApp group of people who had common interests in fields of business, leisure activities among others. The idea of changing it to a charity organization evolved from the need to change from the basics at which the "fun seeking"​ WhatsApp group had been formed. In 2016, the pioneer members made their first pleasure trip to Kamuli where they discovered the now late Olivia who was malnutrition-ed, with no help and pledged to help her get to her feet again. This forced the group leaders to start soliciting funds from the group member, beneficiaries from social media platforms and well-wishers. More members joined in for the SAVE OLIVIA cause however we lost her in 2017. MAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE. This was a big blow to the foundation having been the first outreach to handle but also a motivation to find more people like her and help them. This was a fundamental force that led to the now known FREE THE NEEDY FOUNDATION.
