BRENTEC is located in Kampala, Uganda on Plot 42A Mukabya Road Nakawa Industrial Area. BRENTEC is rated 3 out of 5 in the category veterinary in Uganda. BRENTEC is dedicated to maintaining, improving and protecting the health and welfare of rural farm animals in Africa. Rural households have limited access to funds, education, and resources. In these small communities, an outbreak of disease can lead to the loss of a famer’s entire livestock, which are a source of income, nutrition and neighbourhood pride. Our philosophy is to transform the livelihood of rural households in Africa through the manufacture and distribution of quality and affordable vaccines against livestock diseases in order to allow rural households to begin this journey out of poverty. Our unique value proposition is embodied in our commitment to consistently deliver quality and affordable vaccine solutions across a wide variety of product categories and geographies, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. We do so through our world-class R&D capabilities and strategic partnerships. We are proud to have launched KUKUSTAR®; a thermostable vaccine against Newcastle Disease, during the 2014 fiscal year. This vaccine has been specifically formulated in collaboration with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research for use in the tropical climate zones of sub-Saharan Africa and South-east Asia. KUKUSTAR® is heat tolerant at room temperature in its reconstituted state for over 72 hours as opposed to the 2-hour window most imported vaccines have. It also has an extended shelf life of 30 days outside the cold chain in its lyophilized state. Our team headed by Dr. Vinand Nantulya is comprised of specialists in virology, pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality management with combined experience of over 70 years.
