Founded in 2018, Topowa provides access to quality healthcare to needs of the poor by offering subsidized loans to qualifying men and women of Uganda working both in the informal and formal sectors. We provide easy, convenient and affordable small loans to struggling patients and families to ensure they have access to medical facilities and supplies. The small loans are paid directly to medical facilities for treatment and diagnosis as well as buying patients supplies such as medicines and sundries from pharmacies. The families and patients are expected to pay back their small loans in installments or wholesome amount in a given amount of time at a specific interest rate of less than 10%. Topowa addresses critical needs in key areas of health including but not limited to neonatal, child and maternal health, malaria, water borne diseases, and other non-communicable diseases to ensure universal health coverage.
