The iCON Enterprise Foundation (iCON) is a Ugandan non-profit organization that aims to address gender-based barriers to children’s education by igniting children’s educational potential; women’s leadership and economic empowerment; and family effectiveness and stability. We advocate for parental responsibility and strengthen family resilience and family leadership capacity to creatively address the key barriers to children’s education, women’s empowerment and family stability such as negative social-cultural norms, poverty, ill health, violence, exploitation, exclusion, inequality and inequity. iCON works with children, women and parents who are disproportionately vulnerable and disadvantaged by intractable social, economic, cultural, health and natural challenges.
